EXTENDED FAMILY
- consists of three or more generations living in the same household (grandparetns, parents and children)
- Single-parent family: onvolve a single person plus dependent children(a mother plus a child)
- Reconstructed family: is usually nuclear in form and involves parents, children of their spouse from a first marriage and children from their present marriage.
TEENAGERS VS PARENTS
- Teenagers – spend much of their free time out with friends
- spend much of their time watching TV, working on the computer (facebook, pokec, playing games)
- prefer making their own decisions
- complain that their parents don’t understand them, interfer their business
- don’t respect any adult, are impolite, sometimes rude and lazy
- are under control of their parents all the time
INFLUENCE OF THE MODERN SOCIETY ON THE FAMILY
PROS
- mobile phones (cell phones) – better control of children (parents know where they children are and what they do)
- better possibilities for travelling – families spend time together
- social system- the government supports the young families by providing them with loans
CONS
- mobile phones, computers – children spend too much time on them, family is not together – people don’t speak to each other
- facebook –a way of communication which is even used for a communication between children and parents – personal contact is varnishing – parents don’t know their children,they don’t know how to communicate with them
